I know what it feels like to cry in the bathroom while everyone else is asleep. To scroll through your phone late at night, desperately looking for a breakthrough. To want to serve God faithfully — and yet feel like your finances, emotions, and future are falling apart.
If that’s you today, I want to start by saying: you are not alone.
You can be broke and still be chosen. You can be overwhelmed and still be called. You can be in survival mode — and still be on the edge of your greatest shift.
This blog post isn’t about quick fixes. It’s about what to do in the middle — when the budget is tight, the prayers feel unanswered, and you’re tempted to quit.
Please note: I am not a financial advisor. Everything I share is based on my personal journey and is intended to encourage and educate.
😩 When It Feels Like Nothing Is Working
There were seasons when I:
Worked night shifts, barely staying awake the next day
Had children depending on me, while I was emotionally and financially drained
Was faithful in church, praying and giving — and yet still broke
Tried business after business and nothing seemed to click
The enemy tried to convince me I was failing. That I didn’t have what it took. That maybe I missed God’s will.
But God reminded me: “I never said it would be easy — I said I would be with you.”
🙏 How to Stay Rooted When Life Feels Shaky
Here’s what I did when I couldn’t see the way forward:
1. I Realigned with God Daily
Even when I didn’t feel spiritual. I’d whisper, “Lord, help me,” while doing dishes. I’d listen to worship music while driving. I stayed connected — not perfectly, but persistently.
2. I Made a List of What I Could Control
I couldn’t fix everything overnight. But I could:
Watch one YouTube video to learn a new skill
Create a small budget
Say no to distractions
Take a walk and clear my mind
3. I Focused on Seed, Not Harvest
At first, I didn’t see fruit. But I was planting seeds.
🌱 The Seeds I Planted (That God Multiplied)
When I didn’t have much — and when my bank account was negative — I looked for businesses I could start for free or almost nothing, and I committed to giving value in everything I did.
Here’s what I built:
I launched Print-on-Demand stores with simple T-shirt and journal designs
I published books on Amazon KDP
I created and sold digital products like planners and workbooks
I offered freelance services on platforms like Fiverr
I poured into others — giving free tips, support, and tutorials
Then as those income streams started producing results — even small ones — I took that money and reinvested it into my business.
I paid for subscriptions I needed to grow
I purchased courses to learn deeper skills
I even signed up for coaching, because I knew I couldn’t do it alone
I didn’t start with money — I started with faith, creativity, and a willingness to grow.
And now? By God’s grace, there are days I make $10,000 or more in a single day.
📖 Scripture That Carried Me Through
“I will give you treasures hidden in darkness — secret riches. I will do this so you may know that I am the Lord.” — Isaiah 45:3
I didn’t realize that the darkness I was in was not a punishment — it was a training ground. And those late nights, those tears, those small consistent actions — they were seeds God used to reveal treasures.
✅ If You’re in That Place Now, Here’s What You Can Do Today
Pray — even if it’s messy or silent
Write down one skill or gift you can turn into income
Start with a free or low-cost business model (KDP, Print-on-Demand, freelancing, trading demos)
Give value before you expect money — serve first
Speak life over your situation — even if nothing looks different yet

💬 Final Encouragement
If God can do it for me — with night shifts, babies, blown accounts, a negative bank balance, and free tools — He can do it for you. And even greater.
Let nothing stop you. You can start from nothing and grow as you continue. You may not feel ready, but if you’re faithful with what’s in your hand, God will multiply it in ways you never imagined.
